Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 August 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Home+ (“we”, “us”). They apply when you use the Home+ website and the Home+ mobile apps. Please read them — by creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. Who we are

Home+ is an independently run service based in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at support@myhomeplus.io, and we will provide our full contact details on request.

2. Definitions

  • Service — the Home+ website, mobile apps and related features.
  • Tradesperson — an independent business or individual offering to carry out work through the Service.
  • Content — anything you upload or write, including documents, photos, job descriptions, messages and reviews.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over and able to enter into a contract to use Home+. The Service is intended for people in the United Kingdom. If you use it on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.

4. Your account

Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account, unless it results from our failure. Tell us promptly at support@myhomeplus.io if you think someone else has access.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Security → Delete account, or through our account deletion page. Deletion is permanent.

5. What Home+ does — and does not — do

This section matters, so we have kept it blunt.

Home+ helps you keep your home’s records and maintenance in order, and introduces you to tradespeople. When you accept a quote, the contract for that work is between you and the tradesperson, not with us. We are not a party to it.

We do not employ, supervise, direct or guarantee tradespeople. We do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, safety, legality or price of any work, and we are not responsible for a tradesperson’s acts or omissions. Any checks we describe on the Service are a starting point, not a warranty. You should carry out your own checks — qualifications, registrations such as Gas Safe, insurance, and references — before letting anyone work on your home.

Reminders, Home MOT scores, energy ratings, expiry dates read from your documents and similar features are provided to help you keep track. They may be wrong or incomplete. They are not professional, legal, safety or financial advice, and you must not rely on them to meet a legal duty. Responsibility for your home’s legal and safety obligations remains yours.

6. Acceptable use and your Content

You keep ownership of your Content. You give us a licence to host, store, copy and display it only so far as we need to in order to run the Service for you — for example storing a certificate, showing a job photo to a tradesperson you asked to quote, or publishing a review you chose to leave. This licence ends when you delete the Content or your account, apart from copies in routine backups.

There is no tolerance on Home+ for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not use the Service to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone.
  • Post content that is obscene, hateful, violent, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or upload anyone else’s personal data without a proper reason.
  • Impersonate Home+, a tradesperson or another user.
  • Send spam, scams or fraudulent quotes, or try to move a transaction off-platform to avoid protections.
  • Upload malicious code, or attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Leave a review that is dishonest, paid for, or written about work that never happened.

Reporting. You can report a message or a user from within the app, or email support@myhomeplus.io. We review every report and aim to act within 24 hours. You can also block another user in the app, which stops them contacting you.

We may remove Content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, without notice where the breach is serious. We may also report unlawful behaviour to the authorities.

7. Fees

Home+ is currently free for homeowners. If we introduce charges we will tell you before they apply to you, and you will be able to stop using the paid part of the Service. Anything you agree to pay a tradesperson is a matter between you and them.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice where a change materially reduces what you get, unless we need to act immediately for security or legal reasons.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them only as these terms allow. Your Content stays yours.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any liability under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that cannot be excluded.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for the acts or omissions of tradespeople. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and £100. We are not liable for loss caused by your failure to keep your own copies of important documents — Home+ is a convenience, not your only record.

11. Indemnity

If you use the Service in breach of these terms and that causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from it. This does not apply to anything caused by us.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Home+ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your documents where practical.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, you can delete your account.

14. Complaints and disputes

Please contact support@myhomeplus.io first — most things are resolved quickly. If we cannot resolve it, you may bring a claim in the courts described below. Nothing here prevents a consumer from using any statutory dispute resolution scheme available to them.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

16. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours if the business is sold, provided your rights are not reduced. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. Neither of us is liable for failures caused by events genuinely outside our control.
