Question 1

What is Home+?

Accepted Answer

Home+ is a free app for UK homeowners. It builds a maintenance schedule for your home, reminds you before jobs and safety checks are due, stores your home’s documents and keeps a record of the work done. When a job comes up, you can get quotes from vetted local trades.

Question 2

Is Home+ really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Home+ is free for homeowners, and you don't need a card to sign up.

Question 3

How does Home+ make money?

Accepted Answer

Trades pay to respond to jobs through Trade Pilot, our platform for trades. Homeowners pay nothing.

Question 4

Who runs Home+?

Accepted Answer

Home+ is run by Home Plus Ltd in the UK.

Question 5

Is My Home Plus the same as Home+?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Home+ is sometimes written as My Home Plus, MyHome Plus or HomePlus. It's the same free app, at myhomeplus.io.

Question 6

What does Home+ remind me about?

Accepted Answer

Servicing such as the yearly boiler service, safety checks such as smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and electrical inspections, seasonal jobs such as clearing gutters, and any task you add yourself.

Question 7

How will Home+ remind me?

Accepted Answer

By email, push notification or both, whichever you choose. Reminders arrive a week before a job is due.

Question 8

Can I add my own jobs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can add any task and set it to repeat.

Question 9

What can I store in the document vault?

Accepted Answer

Certificates, warranties, guarantees, receipts and photos for your home. Home+ reads the expiry dates on your certificates, so you get a reminder before each one runs out.

Question 10

How does Home+ read my documents?

Accepted Answer

When you upload a document, its contents are sent to OpenAI, which reads details such as the expiry date. Under OpenAI's terms, it can't use your documents to train its models.

Question 11

Can I download or delete my documents?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time.

Question 12

Can Home+ help when I sell my home?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Home+ keeps a dated record of the work done on your home, with the receipts and certificates, ready to share with a buyer.

Question 13

How do I get quotes from trades?

Accepted Answer

Post a job in Home+ and it goes to up to three vetted local trades, who can then quote.

Question 14

Do I pay to get quotes?

Accepted Answer

No. Getting quotes is free for homeowners. Trades pay to respond to jobs.

Question 15

How are trades checked?

Accepted Answer

Every trade uploads proof of public liability insurance and, where their work needs one, a trade certificate such as Gas Safe registration. Our team reviews them before the trade is marked as verified, and a trade that doesn't replace an expired document loses its verified status. We don't carry out DBS, ID, company or credit checks, or check the quality of their work.

Question 16

Are the reviews real?

Accepted Answer

Reviews are tied to jobs invoiced through the platform, so each one is about work that was actually done and paid for.

Question 17

What if something goes wrong with a trade?

Accepted Answer

Tell us what happened. We look into every complaint, and we can suspend or remove a trade. Your agreement for the work is with the trade, not with Home+.

Question 18

Which areas does Home+ cover?

Accepted Answer

Anyone in the UK can use Home+ to look after their home. We're adding local trades town by town across the South East, starting with Reading and Maidstone.

Question 19

Do you sell my data?

Accepted Answer

No. We don't sell your personal data.

Question 20

What do trades see when I post a job?

Accepted Answer

The job description, any photos and your location and postcode, so they can decide whether to quote. Your contact details go only to trades responding to that job.

Question 21

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Our infrastructure is in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Reading your documents involves a transfer to OpenAI in the United States, with the UK's standard safeguards for international transfers.

Question 22

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

In the app, go to Settings → Security → Delete account, or use the delete account page on our website. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Question 23

Is Home+ free for landlords?

Accepted Answer

Question 24

Question 25

When does the new landlord register open?

Accepted Answer

England's new landlord register opens region by region from 15 December 2026, subject to Parliament approving the regulations.

Question 26

I'm a tradesperson. How do I join?

Accepted Answer

Home+ is for homeowners. Trades join Trade Pilot, our platform for trades, to get local jobs from Home+ homeowners. It's free to join, with no monthly fee.
